Amalgam

Amalgam is a high strength dental amalgam restorative material in type of pre-dosed capsules.

The alloy in fine particles is composed mainly of silver, tin and copper, which when mixed with mercury produces a dental amalgam.

The alloy is in capsule with portions of alloy and mercury pre-dosed which include 43% Ag, 2% Sn, 25% Cu (mass fraction) and mass fraction of alloy powder and mercury as 1:1~1:1.1.

It can be amalgamated by using amalgamators with certain time and frequency.

Indications

It is intended use for filling the decayed tooth.

Applications

• Press two ends of capsule to mix amalgam alloy with mercury thoroughly, then fix the capsule into amalgamator firmly.
• Set amalgamator with suitable parameters. Recommendations are as following: amalgamating frequency 43004400Hz and time 15s20s.
• After amalgamating, take off capsule from amalgamator and knock it slightly to make sure the amalgamated alloy is at the bottom of capsule. Open the capsule and take out amalgamated alloy.
