Bioplic

Light-Cured Temporary Restorative.

Bioplic should be applied directly into the properly prepared cavity, without the need for acid etching or dentin adhesive. Bioplic is a resin-based material composed of dimethacrylate groups, organic filler, silicon dioxide, sodium fluoride, and catalysts. Once activated by visible light (curing light), it hardens to a rubber-like consistency, used for temporarily sealing cavities. When used as a provisional restorative material, after light-curing it absorbs saliva moisture, slightly expands, and exerts negative pressure on the cavity wall, ensuring an effective sealing capacity. It seals the cavity access, protecting exposed dentinal tubules or the root canal entrance, preventing the passage of fluids, bacteria, and toxins. When used to temporarily seal an implant screw access, it creates a mechanical barrier, isolating the screw from contact with oral cavity fluids. When used as an occlusal anatomy sculpting matrix, it works plastically and is easy to shape due to its material characteristics. Contains fluoride in its composition, providing a preventive action against caries. (Sodium fluoride = 0.52% fluoride ions). The product's exposure time to the curing light (single exposure) is 40 seconds. Compatible with composite resin restorations, as it does not contain eugenol. The recommended time for the product to remain in the patient's mouth as a provisional restoration is up to 30 days. In cases of temporary sealing of implant screw access, replace every 30 days.
