This model "Mathieu" in 14 cm length has a slim jaw compared to the models with standard working end. The tungsten carbide inserts (TC inserts) are cross-ribbed and allow the use of suture material from 2-0 to 4-0. These inserts considerably extend the service life of the instrument compared to models without them. The 14 cm version is the smaller version in the series, which is particularly suitable for smaller hands. Between the branches of the handle there is both a rotation lock for step-adjustable engagement function and the spring mechanism for holding open when the instrument is not in use.
