This osteotome is suitable for lifting the bone flap with a diameter of 2.0 mm at the tip during an internal sinus lift. The diameter then tapers to 2.7 mm and then becomes cylindrical. A graduation is applied to the cylindrical part of the instrument in order to be able to estimate how deep it has penetrated into the alveolar ridge. This is divided into 2 mm increments from 8 - 18 mm. The convex shape of the tip allows a gentle elevation of the remaining bone in order to protect the Schneiderian membrane from damage in the best possible way.
