The osteotome attachment is compatible with the "Palti" handle system. The version of the instrument shown here is straight with a concave working end. This runs from a diameter of 3.2 mm up to 3.7 mm and then becomes cylindrical. There is a graduation on the cylindrical part for estimating the depth inserted. With this instrument, the bone flap remaining after drilling can be gently pushed in towards the sinus cavity without damaging the Schneiderian membrane.
