The SOM is not a finished product, but a system. Assemble your colposcope from proven components – tailored to your working style, your space, your requirements.

Lighting of Choice

Three systems, one goal: optimal illumination for reliable diagnoses. Coaxial halogen lighting for classic needs. Coaxial cold light lighting for reduced heat generation. Integrated LED lighting for daylight quality and maximum lifespan.

Magnification as Required

From the 3-step switch for standard examinations to the motorised zoom 1:6 for maximum flexibility. The 5-step switch offers five distinct levels from 3.4x to 21.2x. The zoom enables continuous adjustment within the same range.

Tubus for Ergonomics

Straight tube or angled tube 45° – depending on seating position and examination chair. For maximum flexibility: the wide-angle swing tube with 0-210° swivel range.

Focus to Suit

12 mm fine focusing for quick adjustments. 40 mm manual for greater range. 40 mm motorised for precise, contactless setting.

Documentation as Needed

From the simple photo tube for DSLR cameras to the integrated camera system "Vision" – the SOM can be upgraded at any time for photo and video documentation.

Laser Adaptation

The interface for laser systems from leading manufacturers is ready. When therapeutic interventions are required, the SOM is prepared.

Optical Excellence for Precise Diagnoses

Apochromatic Optics

The zoom versions are equipped with apochromatic optics. Chromatic aberration is eliminated, and details appear sharp and natural. The result: brilliant, three-dimensional images throughout the entire magnification range.

High Depth of Field

From the 5x magnification changer, a diaphragm to increase depth of field is optionally available. More structures remain in focus simultaneously – a crucial advantage when assessing tissue changes.

Parallel Beam Path

The optical beam path and illumination are coaxial. The field of view is evenly illuminated, and shadows are minimised.

Green Filter for Vascular Imaging

The swing-in green filter enhances contrast in the assessment of vascular structures. Atypical vascular patterns become more visible.

Ergonomics for Fatigue-Free Operation

Gynaecological examinations require concentration over long periods. The SOM is designed to minimise strain on the examiner.

Ergonomically Positioned Adjustment Knobs
