3D Printing Mold Manufacturing with Therma DM570

Therma DM570 is a high-temperature, high-precision nanoceramic resin developed for advanced mold manufacturing in 3D printing. Thanks to its exceptional dimensional stability, the material withstands high injection and closing pressures, while also resisting temperatures of up to 295°C.

Moreover, Therma DM570 is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. In particular, it is widely used in sectors such as footwear, electronics, tool manufacturing, racing, and packaging, where accuracy and thermal resistance are critical.

In addition, when combined with high-precision DWS 3D printers, THERMA DM570 enables the production of ultra-detailed molds. As a result, sharp edges, complex undercuts, intricate cooling channels, and highly complex geometries can be achieved with outstanding accuracy.

Suitable Applications and Performance

  • Plastic Injection Molding: THERMA DM570 supports production runs of up to 2,000 injection cycles. However, the actual mold lifespan may vary depending on the polymer type, injection pressure, and overall mold complexity.

  • Ultrasonic Thermocompression: Furthermore, THERMA DM570 is fully compatible with ultrasonic thermocompression processes. This technology allows for precise dimensional tolerances, ensuring accurate forming of components with fine and detailed features.

  • Autoclave Processing (Carbon Fiber Curing): Finally, the material demonstrates excellent thermal and mechanical resistance during autoclave curing cycles. Consequently, THERMA DM570 is an ideal solution for composite tooling applications, where high temperatures and pressures are required.
