Porous Synthetic Bone Biomaterial
adbone®TCP is a totally synthetic bone graft material made of pure beta-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP).
Three Dimensional Regeneration of Bone
adbone®TCP features a multidirectional interconnected porosity that guides the three dimensional regeneration of bone. As bone healing process occurs, adbone®TCP is resorbed and replaced by new bone.
Highest Degree Of Porosity
adbone®TCP was designed to achieve the highest degree of porosity without compromising the mechanical resistance.
Product Forms
- Granules: 0.1 – 0.5 mm, 0.5 – 1 mm, 1 – 2 mm
- Blocks
- Cylinders
Intended Use
adbone®TCP is intended to be used as a bone void filler or augmentation material for bone defects that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure.
Characteristics
- Easy to handle: adbone TCP can be easily mixed with patient's blood. The hydrophilic behavior of adbone TCP confers a high cohesivity of the particles
- Totally synthetic: adbone TCP does not contain animal or human tissues or derivatives
- Vascularization: The interconnected porosity of adbone TCP forms an ideal environment for vascularization
- Radiopaque: adbone TCP is radiopaque, allowing the monitoring of the graft osteointegration
- No membrane: The use of membrane is not required unless there is risk of graft exposure
Performance Comparison
- Porosity: Adbone - 80%, Others - 45%
- Pore Size: 400µm Adbone - 90%, 50µm Others - 25%
- Mechanical Resistance: 3.0 MPa Adbone - 60%, 0.5 MPa Others - 40%
