Features of the Apicoectomy Block

Simulated Periapical Lesion

The Apicoectomy models contain accessed tooth model(s) with gutta-percha filled root canals. The apical part of the root is surrounded by a soft material that simulates a periapical lesion.

Realistic Anatomy

The Apicoectomy model allows for performing apical resection and retrograde filling, featuring anatomical tooth angulation, cortical plate thickness, and vestibule height, just as on a real patient.

Radiography & CBCT Scanning

Blocks can be radiographed and CBCT scanned for treatment planning and measurement.

Modular Jaw Compatibility

For optimal training, it is recommended to use this Block inside the DRSK Modular Jaw. When the Block is placed inside the DRSK Modular Jaw, the Gingiva with its lifelike consistency allows performing incision and suturing.

Key Features

True-to-life Feel

The simulated periapical lesion has a lifelike consistency. The material of the cortical plate allows for realistic drilling and incisions, while the root is designed to withstand root end preparation.

Cost-Effective Design

Using Apicoectomy Blocks with DRSK Modular Jaw allows swapping Blocks and Gingiva, reducing costs by eliminating the need to replace the whole jaw.

Lifelike Gingiva

Flexible gingiva closely simulates surgery. Gingiva can be glued to the bone for realistic incisions, then easily replaced.
