Used for different purposes, such as cutting of the gum, sutures or bandages. With smooth or toothed/serrated blades and pointed or beveled tips for specific different surgical purposes. (aka: Stitch Scissors) Scissors with suture hook.
The lower blade of the scissor is shaped like a hook to easily slide under the suture, lift and grab the suture to be cut (keeps the suture away from the tissues during cutting).
