Monofast is a synthetic monofilament absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of a copolymer of polyglycolic acid-co-polycaprolactone (PGCL). Monofast suture is available in a wide range of diameter – length combinations attached to high quality medical grade stainless steel needles of different sizes and types.
Monofast monofilament absorbable sutures comply fully with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia for sterile synthetic absorbable sutures and with the essential requirements of the directive 93/42/EEC.
