Instrument used to carve wax patterns, it generally features a beveled blade of varying shape and size, which can be heated to soften the wax while shaping the pattern. PKT (Dr. Peter K. Thomas) is a tool for adding, carving or polishing wax.

Used for outer contours and to remove excess wax. No. 4 and No. 5 are used for carving (with light pressure to achieve the desired smooth surface).
