Planmeca PlanCAD Premium 3.0

The new Planmeca PlanCAD® Premium 3.0 release has been updated with new features and functions that streamline daily work at dental laboratories. The new version introduces several anticipated functions, such as gingiva mask design and new material configurations for our Planmeca PlanMill® 50 S and Planmeca PlanMill® 30 S milling units. Additionally, implant libraries containing STL files are delivered and updated separately from now on.

Hotkeys

Multiple new hotkeys for frequently used functions

Disc cutter

• Faster interaction due to improvements in usability and performance
• Free-forming now includes a single button to perform all possible adaptations at once ("Cut all intersections")
• New contact point tools include smarter approximal adaptation and easy editing with disc cutter

Virtual articulator

• Free selection of the guidance surface by brushing or clicking the tooth surface to include or exclude parts in collision detection during the articulator movement simulation

Model Creator module

• Support for designing implant models with gingiva masks
• Individual insertion directions for dies

Working with textured or coloured data

• Greatly improved compatibility for textured and coloured scan data
• Improved rendering of textured and coloured scans from intraoral and face scanners

Implant library

• New implant libraries available
• New Model Creator lab analog libraries available
• New bar profiles available
• Libraries containing STL files for implants, attachments and Model Creator plates are delivered separately from now on

Material configuration updates for Planmeca PlanMill® units

• Material configuration updates are now available for Planmeca PlanMill® 30 S and Planmeca PlanMill® 50 S milling units
• The update includes two separate configurations for Planmeca PlanMill 30 S to correspond with the standard and detailed milling modes
