Tetric® CAD
Ivoclar · source
Tetric CAD is an esthetic composite block designed for the efficient fabrication of single-tooth restorations in just one treatment session. Its excellent polishability allows dentists to deliver long-lasting restorations to their patients in just a few steps.
Straightforward fabrication of esthetic restorations
Well-coordinated steps for maximum performance
Tetric CAD restorations can be fabricated in just three steps, without requiring time-intensive firing: Design, grind, polish – and the restoration is ready for adhesive cementation.
Minimally invasive preparation made easy
Even with limited space and low wall thicknesses, Tetric CAD provides reliable strength. Finely tapering margins can be created without chipping, helping to preserve precious tooth structure.
Convincing esthetics
The pronounced chameleon effect enables natural blending of the restoration with the surrounding tooth structure – for a harmonious and esthetic appearance.
Balanced strength in every detail
Tetric CAD is a composite – a dental material composed of ceramic fillers and polymer resins. This combination of components ensures an optimal balance between strength, durability and ease of use.
Conservative, robust and reliable
With fast and easy handling, Tetric CAD delivers both esthetic appeal and functional performance. Excellent polishability and the ability to perform intraoral repairs make processing Tetric CAD restorations exceptionally easy and efficient.
Versatile range of applications
One of the key benefits Tetric CAD offers users is its high stability even at low wall thicknesses. This material property enables the fabrication of durable, yet natural-looking restorations with finely tapering margins – without chipping. The composite block covers numerous applications:
- veneers
- inlays
- onlays (e.g. occlusal veneers, partial crowns)
- crowns
For beautiful results in just three fabrication steps
Thanks to its pronounced chameleon effect, Tetric CAD integrates seamlessly into the natural tooth structure. The material adapts ideally to the surrounding tooth shade and offers a harmonious esthetic appearance. This allows for the fabrication of restorations that are almost indistinguishable from the natural oral environment – for consistently beautiful, esthetic results.
Dentists can choose from two translucency levels. Tetric CAD HT, with its high translucency, is ideally suited for smaller, conservative restorations thanks to its ability to enhance the chameleon effect through increased light transmission. When a slightly higher opacity is desired, Tetric CAD MT (Medium Translucency) blocks provide a well-balanced blend of natural light dynamics and shade stability.
Finishing - Your efficient solution for everyday practice
Due to the material's optimized properties, high-gloss polishing, e.g. with OptraGloss® Extra Oral oder OptraGloss®, is sufficient, eliminating the need for time-consuming finishing and allowing the treatment to be completed in just one treatment session.
Tetric CAD restorations can be esthetically enhanced directly after grinding with IPS Empress Direct Color.
Compatible with authorized CAD/CAM systems
For processing Tetric CAD, it is recommended to use tested and authorized CAD/CAM systems to ensure consistently high quality and reproducible, reliable results.
