Supplied ready for the integration of scientifically proven hygiene devices, the design concept of Castellini dental unit aims to minimise any risk of cross-contamination and is DVGW certified.

Autosteril

A high level automatic system that disinfects all spray water circuits. During the cycle, the instruments are stored in an inbuilt receiving area. With the use of Peroxy Ag+, Autosteril ensures a mycobactericidal and bactericidal effect against Legionella certified by the Sapienza University of Rome. The analyses demonstrated that the disinfection provided is sufficient to "eradicate all tested microbes from the piping of the dental unit, even with higher contamination levels." Autosteril helps sanitisation at the end of a day's session and allows short cycles to be performed via the following steps:

• circuit draining with compressed air;
• addition of 3% H2 O2 to the spray water circuits;
• a liquid 'hold time' suitable for intensive disinfection;
• liquid expelled with compressed air;
• (mains or distilled) water flushing.

Protection against Legionella and waterborne contaminants

The M.W.B. disinfection system, used in conjunction with Peroxy Ag+, acts against all waterborne contaminants, including Legionella. Moreover, tests carried out on dental units used in the surgery demonstrated, with regular use of the M.W.B. and daily execution of an intensive disinfection cycle of dental units with the Autosteril system, outstanding water hygiene quality with bacterial loads kept at zero constantly over a 3-month observation period.

Time flushing

To drain stagnant fluid from piping after use, the Time Flushing feature carries out a complete water change with a timed flow of the feed fluid.

S.S.S. Bottle

The stand-alone supply system is equipped with a 1.8 litre capacity pressurised tank, easily accessible from outside to facilitate filling or replacement.
