Overview of GDT PTFE Sutures

GDT PTFE Sutures are non-absorbable, monofilament sutures manufactured from 100% polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) polymer. These sutures are undyed and contain no additives, ensuring the highest level of biocompatibility and safety. They are available in USP sizes 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, and 5-0, each with a length of 75.0 cm, and are attached to a 3/8 Circle 19mm Reverse Cutting hardened stainless steel needle.

The GDT PTFE Sutures feature a soft and smooth surface that allows them to move effortlessly between tissues without causing trauma to the patient, thereby preventing bacterial colonization. These sutures do not irritate the tissues and provide firm support during the healing process, making them highly comfortable with the highest patient satisfaction rate. The sutures offer great knot security and easy knot placement, facilitating efficient and effective surgical procedures. As biologically inert synthetic sutures, they do not react with tissues, ensuring a very smooth, atraumatic tissue passing experience. Actions and Performance

Indications and Contraindications

GDT PTFE Sutures are intended for use in the approximation and ligation of soft tissue in the oral cavity, including the fixation of barrier membranes. They are not suitable for cardiovascular and neurological surgeries, ophthalmic surgery, microsurgery, and peripheral neural tissue.
