GUIDE DESIGNER

An alternative implant planning program. The Guide Designer module is packed with features for implant planning and guide design.

Overview

Works with two open source software programs - one for implant planning and one for guide design. Created with dental innovators Georgi Talmazov and Patrick Ryan Moore (creators of the 3D Pano & the 3DSlicer/Blender link). Cost effective, easy to use with a systematic approach.

Features

• ICP Alignment Tool: Aligns the dental model to the CBCT scan by reassigning the dental model coordinates to the CBCT scan, so you'll see the dental model in the correct position in the dicom viewer.
• Virtual Teeth Placement: Walk-through for placing virtual teeth to help locate implants into the correct position.
• 3D Pano Extension: Makes navigation in the dicom viewer easy. Draw a curve on the CT scan. A transverse plane and tangential plane is then created. This follows the curve for exact viewing. A 3D Slicer extension is used to mark the inferior alveolar nerve.
• Virtual Implants: Fully adjustable in all shapes or forms. Can include safety zones. The drill hole through the guide sleeve can be offset to ensure the drill spins freely in the guide, or can incorporate a metal guide sleeve (requires B4D Component module).
• Steco Titanium Guide Sleeves: Included in B4D Components module. Special cutting tools which make the cavity in the guide.
• Predetermined Drill Length: Set a predetermined drill length by inserting the drill length into the slider bar.
• Angle Indicator: Can be used for angled abutments.
• CSV Export: All implant dimensions can be exported in CSV file format for records.
• Guide Design Methods: Choose between painting your guide layer for a closed frame implant guide or use the tube method to design an open frame or skeleton design.
• Blender Integration: Create your implant guide using Blender's visual effects.
• Export Options: Export the dental model with the drill holes as an additional diagnostic tool. Use virtual teeth to make temporary crowns that adapt to the implant for ideal tooth emergence profile.
