LOCTITE® 3D IND405 Clear Resin 3D Printing
Carbon Inc. · source
LOCTITE® 3D IND405 Clear certified for Carbon® printers is a clear, tough, semi rigid, 3D printable material from LOCTITE®. The material is produced as a one-part resin. It offers an attractive, frosted clear finish that can be post-processed for enhanced clarity. Its mechanical behavior is comparable to unfilled propylene.
Properties
- Ultimate Tensile Strength: 42 MPa / 6 ksi
- Heat Deflection Temperature: 53 °C / 127.4 °F
- Elongation At Break: 120 %
- Impact Strength (Notched): 50 J/m / 0.94 ft-lb/in
- Tensile Modulus: 1500 MPa / 218 ksi
- Comparable Thermoplastics: PMMA, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, POM
Features
Frosted Clear
This resin produces parts with an attractive frosted clear finish out of the printer. Parts can be manually post-processed for enhanced clarity.
Tough
These parts offer the highest toughness of any clear, 3D printable resin. With high impact resistance, it is well-suited for functional prototypes and select end-use parts.
Stable Clarity
Parts made with this material exhibit stable optical and material properties over time.
Example Applications
These applications combine a need for functional toughness, stiffness, and temperature resistance, in addition to isotropy, great surface finish, and accuracy.
- Fluid Ducts: Fluid ducts often require transparency, strength, toughness, accuracy, and a great finish in complex shapes that are difficult to mold.
- High Impact, High Pressure Tooling: Sheet metal forming requires high strength, toughness, and impact resistance at low temperatures in complex shapes.
