Used for the removal of the sharp edges of the alveolar bone crest after tooth extraction. With a spring (self-opening) design and spoon-shaped sharp jaws at the distal end, it also provides sturdy handles, with one or more pivots that, when squeezed together, close the jaws and grab (cut) the bone tissue.
