The parabolic grinding on the tip of the instrument and the diamond-shaped plateau ensure gentle penetration into the interdental space / periodontal gap. Due to the special shape, a 180° rotation of the instrument allows four luxation movements, two each in mesial and distal direction. During the luxation process, 5-7 hypomochlies (rotation and support movements) are performed, making the instrument clearly superior to conventional levers. The serrated edge of the instrument further promotes dislocation.
Axial levering stress on the instrument tips can lead to fracture. The Pivot-Point instruments are not suitable for axial levering use. Non-compliance with the instructions for use can lead to breakage. We accept no liability for such damage!
