Zygoma Implant System
Advan srl · source
The innovative surgical technique that allows patients to regain fixed teeth even in cases of severe maxillary atrophy, achievable with both the classic delayed loading protocol and immediate loading.
The advanced solution for an uncompromising smile
- Atrophic Jaw Treatment
- No removable prostheses
- Full chewing function restored
- Immediate loading
- Shorter healing time compared to bone graft rehabilitation
A perfect anchorage in the zygomatic bone.
The distal threaded section of the implants has a rough surface to ensure secure bone fixation, while the implant body boasts a smooth machined finish. Designed for immediate loading, they perform effectively when primary stability is sufficient and occlusal forces are properly managed.
Implant Design
Zygomatic implants enable the avoidance of complicated procedures like bone grafting and sinus elevation, offering a quicker and more comfortable treatment experience.
- Internal hexagonal connection
- Smooth body to prevent bacterial adhesion
- Excellent primary stability and anchorage in the zygomatic Bone
- Surface treatment OsseoGRIP®
- Atraumatic convex apex
1. Internal hexagonal connection
- Immediate and easy handling of prosthetic components
- The connection is compatible with the Advan ONE Internal line, providing great prosthetic flexibility
2. Smooth body to prevent bacterial adhesion
- The ZYGOMA implant is designed for intra-sinus and extra-sinus technique
- The smooth neck prevents bacterial adhesion by preventing damage in the sinus cavity
3. Excellent primary stability and anchorage in the zygomatic Bone
- Dual threading with a progressive dual threading principle allows primary stability in the zygomatic bone to be easily achieved for immediate loading procedures
4. Surface treatment OsseoGRIP®
Non-aggressive treatment of the implant surface: sandblasting with hydroxyapatite and subsequent removal by washing process with the exception of the prosthetic platform of the first coronal section for safe juxta-crestal positioning
- Increased superficial osteoconductivity for rapid bone regrowth and increased BIC
- The treated surface is 13.5 mm for insertion into the zygomatic bone
5. Atraumatic convex apex
Atraumatic convex apex and exceptional cutting capacity for greater stability during insertion.
- Reduced risk of injuring delicate anatomical structures
- Ease and speed of insertion
Internal hexagonal connection design
ZYGOMA features an advanced implant design with an internal hexagonal connection, compatible with the Advan One Internal prosthetics system, ensuring optimal stability and compatibility.
Zygoma MUA Prosthetics (Multi-Unit Abutment)
The MUA system includes a complete line of products designed for zygoma implant rehabilitation. Available in different heights, they connect to a wide range of complementary products. Sterile-packaged with transport carrier suitable for easy control of the prosthetic emergence. Use the prosthetic driver to tighten the retention screw. Made of Ti gr.23.
The surgical techniques
Traditional Technique
For the atrophic posterior jaw, a zygomatic implant is positioned on either side of the jaw, paired with 2–4 conventional implants in the front region.
Zygoma Quad Technique
In the fully atrophic jaw, the placement of conventional implants is not feasible. This technique involves the insertion of 2 zygomatic implants per quadrant, interconnected in a single rehabilitation framework.
Zygoma surgical kit
The ZYGOMA surgical kit consists of a Radel®-made box containing all the surgical and prosthetic instruments necessary for performing the osteotomy, from implant placement to prosthetic restoration.
The kit is equipped with drills specifically designed for zygomatic implants:
- The initial drill marks the starting point for preparation in the cortical bone
- The diamond drills help define the drilling direction in the zygomatic bone by creating an orientation groove in the maxillary bone
- The step drills, coated with DLC, enable deep osteotomy preparation
